Dental Implants. When natural teeth are missing
from the mouth, artificial substitutes to replace the root
portion of the teeth are placed into the bone and gums.
Replacement teeth are then fixed onto these new roots. GAOC
provides restorative dentistry option designed to replace
missing teeth by embedding a screw or post into the jawbone,
creating a stable base for the prosthetic tooth. Dental
implants are artificial teeth root replacement and are used
in prosthetic dentistry. There are several types. The most
widely accepted and successful is the osseointegrated
implant, based on the discovery by Professor Per-Ingvar
Brånemark that titanium could be successfully incorporated
into bone when osteoblasts grow on and into the rough
surface of the implanted titanium. This forms a structural
and functional connection between the living bone and the
implant. A variation on the implant procedure is the
implant-supported bridge, or implant-supported denture.
NobelGuide System:
Allowing more accurate surgery with minimally invasive
procedure. Recently, another revolutionary breakthrough
partnership with Nobel Biocare now enables GAOC to conduct
laser-like precision for a patient's extra-oral planning,
with NobelGuide, a revolutionary treatment planning and
surgical implementation system.
Under the NobelGuide system, the placing of the implant,
abutment and restorative crown or bridge is simultaneous. It
is applicable to any patient indication, by using either
conventional modeling or computer aided-3D design –
NobelGuide shows the dentist the exact position and depth of
the implants before surgery at a glance.
This milestone procedure enables GAOC’s lab to produce a
surgical template which guides the flap-less procedure from
start to a completely successful placement. In practice,
this means beautiful teeth for patients in just one visit
--- easy, safe and predictable with practically no healing
time required prior to functioning --- a premium service
still unavailable to most dental clinics in the Philippines.
